The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT) and the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), observed Norwich Free Academy's basketball team knock off Newtown by a score of 43-23.

The Wildcats (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers come into the Eastern Connecticut - 1 challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, New London prevailed over Windham (Willimantic, CT), 40-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Nighthawks encounter the Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT) in a Southwest challenge, on Monday, January 13. Newtown will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
