Washington High School Basketball - Orting nips Vashon Island
January 11, 2025: Orting, WA 98360 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Orting Cardinals (Orting, WA) and the visiting Vashon Island Pirates (Vashon Island, WA), observed Orting's basketball team edge Vashon Island by a margin of 39-36.
The Cardinals (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Foss (Tacoma, WA). The Falcons come into the 2A South Puget Sound challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Foss was tipped by Clover Park (Lakewood, WA), 43-23, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Life Christian Academy Eagles (Tacoma, WA) in a 1A Nisqually challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Vashon Island will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 54-49 league loss to Chimacum (Chimacum, WA).
