January 11, 2025: Salem, OR 97304 The Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) basketball walloped the visiting Trinity Lutheran Saints (Bend, OR), 78-25 in Saturday's non-league game.
The Pioneers now have a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Chemawa Indian for a 2A Tri-River game on Tuesday, January 14. Western Christian will confront a Braves team coming off a 60-31 league loss to Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR). The Braves record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Trinity Lutheran falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Saints host Oakridge (Oakridge, OR) to confront the Warriors in a 2A East Cascades game on Tuesday, January 14. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 1-9. Oakridge lost 66-8 in their recent league game against Monroe (Monroe, OR)
