The Carmel Greyhounds basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Westfield Shamrocks to 50 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Saturday.

The Greyhounds now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Ben Davis for a non-league game on Friday, January 31.

With the loss, Westfield falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Shamrocks host Mooresville (Mooresville, IN) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 6-4.
