Illinois High School Basketball - Thornton Fractional South can't hold off Lake Forest Academy
January 11, 2025: Lake Forest, IL 60045 Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), 51-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lake Forest Academy advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Caxys host Northridge (Niles, IL) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. The Knights enter the match with a record of 2-1. Northridge won 64-44 in their recent non-league match against Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL)
The Red Wolves now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reavis for a match on Tuesday, January 14.
