Ron Brown Monarchs (Washington, DC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Anacostia Indians (Washington, DC), 52-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Ron Brown upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Monarchs host Ballou (Washington, DC) to play the Knights in a DCSAA A bout on Friday, January 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Ballou won 67-36 in their recent league bout against Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Indians play the Roosevelt Roughriders (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA bout, on Friday, January 14. Anacostia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 66-38 league loss to Wilson (Washington, DC).
