North Clarion Wolves (Tionesta, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Keystone Panthers (Knox, PA), 34-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Clarion upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Wolves host Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA) to play the Lions in a Keystone Shortway - North bout on Friday, January 14. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Clarion-Limestone won 55-24 in their recent league bout against Allegheny-Clarion Valley (Foxburg, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Union Knights/Damsels (Rimersburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 14. Keystone will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Knights/Damsels come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 47-40 non-league win over Karns City (Karns City, PA).
