Ohio High School Basketball - Marietta holds off Vinton County
January 12, 2022: Marietta, OH 45750 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH) and the visiting Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH), saw Marietta's basketball squad hold off Vinton County by a tally of 56-49.
With the victory, Marietta improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Warren (Vincent, OH) to confront the Warriors in a East Central Ohio challenge on Wednesday, January 19. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Warren won 56-31 in their recent league challenge against Dover (Dover, OH)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Wheelersburg Pirates (Wheelersburg, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 15. Vinton County will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 55-47 league win over South Webster (South Webster, OH).
