Louisiana High School Basketball - St. John nips Riverside Academy
January 12, 2022: Reserve, LA 70084 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) and the host Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA), saw St. John's basketball squad hold off Riverside Academy by a count of 2-0.
With the victory, St. John upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA) to play the Saints in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 15. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. St. Martin's Episcopal won 42-20 in their recent non-league challenge against East Jefferson (Metairie, LA)
Next up, the Rebels play the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 13. Riverside Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 40-33 league win over Kentwood (Kentwood, LA).
