Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Abington nips East
January 12, 2023: Abington, PA 19001 Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Vikings (West Chester, PA), 53-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Abington upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Galloping Ghosts host Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA) to play the Lions in a Suburban One - American bout on Friday, January 13. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Lower Moreland won 64-36 in their recent non-league bout against MAST Community Charter (Philadelphia, PA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. East will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 50-35 league win over Oxford (Oxford, PA).
