Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA), 73-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mount Ayr upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Murray (Murray, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Murray won 69-29 in their recent league bout against Lamoni (Lamoni, IA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Bedford Bulldogs (Bedford, IA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Central Decatur will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record.
