Louisiana High School Basketball - Salmen holds off Grace Baptist Academy
January 12, 2023: Slidell, LA 70451 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) and the visiting Grace Baptist Academy Flyers (Ocean Springs, MS), saw Salmen's basketball squad hold off Grace Baptist Academy by a tally of 51-48.
With the victory, Salmen improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Loranger (Loranger, LA) to confront the Wolves in a 4A District 8 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 10-2.
Next up, the Flyers confront the West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Grace Baptist Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 51-44 league loss to Natchez (Natchez, MS).
