New Mexico High School Basketball - Mountainair nips Reserve
January 12, 2023: Reserve, NM 87830 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM) and the host Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), saw Mountainair's basketball squad hold off Reserve by a tally of 37-35.
With the victory, Mountainair improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Logan (Logan, NM) to play the Longhorns in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Logan won 69-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Pine Hill (Pine Hill, NM)
Next up, the Mountaineers play the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Reserve will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Steers come into the challenge with a 15-0 record after their 88-38 non-league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM).
