Pennsylvania High School Basketball - North Pocono holds off Western Wayne
January 12, 2023: Lake Ariel, PA 18436 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) and the host Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), saw North Pocono's basketball squad hold off Western Wayne by a tally of 60-53.
With the victory, North Pocono improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA) to confront the Buckhorns in a Lackawanna 2 challenge on Monday, January 16. The Buckhorns come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Wallenpaupack Area won 35-30 in their recent league challenge against Honesdale (Honesdale, PA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Western Wayne will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 58-32 non-league win over Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA).
