Texas High School Soccer - DeSoto nudges Newman International Academy

DeSoto Eagles (DeSoto, TX) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Newman International Academy Warriors (Cedar Hill, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles confront the Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. DeSoto will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lake Belton (Temple, TX).

The Warriors now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ranchview for a 4A Region 2 District 9 challenge on Saturday, February 4.
