Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Dollar Bay Bays (Dollar Bay, MI), 68-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Houghton upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Gremlins travel to West Iron County (Iron River, MI) to play the Wykons in a Western Peninsula bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wykons come into the bout with a record of 0-10. West Iron County lost 49-32 in their recent league bout against Calumet (Calumet, MI)

Next up, the Bays play the Wakefield Cardinals (Wakefield, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Dollar Bay will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
