Rhode Island High School Basketball - Westerly can't hold off Smithfield
January 12, 2024: Esmond, RI 02917 The Smithfield Sentinels basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Westerly Bulldogs to 45 in the Sentinels league victory on Friday.
The Sentinels now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a Division 1 contest on Monday, January 15. Smithfield will battle a Kilties team coming off a 67-49 league loss to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Kilties record now stands at 4-4.
The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI). The Kilties come into the Division 1 contest with a 4-4 record.
