Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Austin Panthers (Austin, PA) and the visiting Northern Potter Panthers (Ulysses, PA), saw Austin's basketball squad hold off Northern Potter by a tally of 35-32.

With the victory, Austin improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Smethport (Smethport, PA) to confront the Hubbers in a North Tier challenge on Monday, January 15. The Hubbers come into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Smethport lost 56-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridgway (Ridgway, PA)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Cameron County Raiders (Emporium, PA) in a North Tier challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Northern Potter will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 35-24 league loss to Oswayo Valley (Shinglehouse, PA).
