Indiana High School Basketball - Mississinewa can't hold off Blackford

January 12, 2024: Gas City, IN 46933

The Blackford Bruins basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Mississinewa Indians to 33 in the Bruins league triumph on Friday.

The Bruins now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anderson Prep Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Blackford will battle a Jets team coming off a 52-43 league win over Indianapolis Shortridge (Indianapolis, IN). The Jets record now stands at 10-8.

Next up, the Indians play the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN) in a Central Indiana bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Mississinewa will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 66-11 league win over Elwood (Elwood, IN).
