Maryland High School Basketball - Chesapeake holds off Crofton
January 12, 2024: Pasadena, MD 21122 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chesapeake Cougars (Pasadena, MD) and the visiting Crofton (Gambrills, MD), saw Chesapeake's basketball squad hold off Crofton by a tally of 44-43.
With the victory, Chesapeake improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Glenelg Country (Ellicott City, MD) to confront the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
Next up, the confront the Broadneck Bruins (Annapolis, MD) in a Anne Arundel County challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Crofton will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 58-32 league win over Glen Burnie (Glen Burnie, MD).
