Kansas High School Basketball - Great Bend tops Hutchinson
January 12, 2024: Great Bend, KS 67530 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Great Bend Panthers (Great Bend, KS) and the visiting Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS), saw Great Bend's basketball squad knock off Hutchinson by a tally of 44-36.
With the victory, Great Bend improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Buhler (Buhler, KS) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Buhler lost 37-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Circle (Towanda, KS)
Next up, the Salthawks play the Field Kindley Golden Tornado (Coffeyville, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Hutchinson will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Golden Tornado come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 58-40 non-league loss to Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS).
