New Mexico High School Basketball - Belen nips Goddard
January 12, 2024: Roswell, NM 88201 Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM), 44-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Belen upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Artesia (Artesia, NM) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Artesia won 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Taos (Taos, NM)
Next up, the Rockets play the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Goddard will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 50-41 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
