Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Lancaster Tigers (Lancaster, TX), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Texans face the Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Northwest will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Bobcat enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to MacArthur (Irving, TX).

The Tigers now have a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boswell for a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. Lancaster will face a Pioneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Red Oak (Red Oak, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-2.
