January 13, 2022: Ferndale, MI 48220 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Groves Falcons (Beverly Hills, MI) and the host University Eagles (Ferndale, MI), saw Groves's basketball squad overcome University by a tally of 71-56.
With the victory, Groves improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host Pontiac (Pontiac, MI) to play the Phoenix in a Oakland - Gold challenge on Tuesday, January 18. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Pontiac lost 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Stoney Creek (Rochester Hills, MI)
Next up, the Eagles play the Troy Colts (Troy, MI) in a Oakland - White challenge, on Thursday, January 20. University will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 49-48 non-league loss to Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI).
