Kentucky High School Basketball - Lewis County overwhelmed by Augusta
January 13, 2023: Vanceburg, KY 41179 The Augusta Panthers basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Lewis County Lions to 47 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fleming County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Augusta will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-40 league win over Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 10-6.
The Lions (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Lawrence County was routed by Floyd Central (Eastern, KY), 62-60, in a league contest.
