The Pleasant Grove Spartans basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Carver Birmingham Rams to 33 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cullman for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Pleasant Grove will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 50-47 league loss to Decatur (Decatur, AL). The Bearcats record now stands at 17-4.

The Rams (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Jackson-Olin triumphed over Holy Family Catholic (Birmingham, AL), 65-47, in a non-league contest.
