Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride (Omaha, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE), 64-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roncalli Catholic upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Crimson Pride host Mount Michael Benedictine (Elkhorn, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Mount Michael Benedictine won 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Boys Town (Boys Town, NE)

Next up, the Pioneers play the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Fort Calhoun will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Cadets go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 67-49 non-league win over Tekamah-Herman (Tekamah, NE).
