The Mavericks now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashland for a Southern Plains-Iroquois battle on Tuesday, January 17. Kiowa County will battle a Blue Jays team coming off a 44-32 non-league loss to Minneola (Minneola, KS). The Blue Jays record now stands at 1-8.
The Coyotes (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Norwich (Norwich, KS). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Norwich prevailed over Pretty Prairie (Pretty Prairie, KS), 55-41, in a non-league battle.
