Michigan High School Basketball - Monroe thwarts Roosevelt
January 13, 2023: Wyandotte, MI 48192 The Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI) basketball knocked off the host Roosevelt Bears (Wyandotte, MI), 53-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Trojans (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Huron (Ann Arbor, MI). The River Rats go into the Southeastern - Red test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, Huron notched a victory over Ypsilanti (Ypsilanti, MI), 69-21, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Carlson for a Downriver test on Tuesday, January 17. Roosevelt will encounter a Marauders squad coming off a 38-35 non-league win over Huron (New Boston, MI). The Marauders record now stands at 2-8.
