New York High School Basketball - Roosevelt holds off New Paltz
January 13, 2023: Hyde Park, NY 12538 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Roosevelt Presidents (Hyde Park, NY) and the visiting New Paltz Huguenots (New Paltz, NY), saw Roosevelt's basketball squad hold off New Paltz by a tally of 60-55.
With the victory, Roosevelt improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Presidents travel to Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY) to confront the Dukes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Dukes come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Marlboro Central lost 63-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY)
Next up, the Huguenots confront the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors (Poughkeepsie, NY) in a Section 9 Mid Hudson I challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. New Paltz will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 76-44 non-league win over Rondout Valley (Accord, NY).
