Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) and the visiting Paris Tigers (Paris, IL), saw North Central's basketball squad hold off Paris by a count of 37-36.

With the victory, North Central upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Vincennes Rivet (Vincennes, IN) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Vincennes Rivet won 53-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine (Oblong, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the La Salette Academy Lions (Georgetown, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Paris will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record.
