The Highland Springs Springers routed the visiting Armstrong Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 71-17 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Springers face the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 14. Highland Springs will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Crusaders enter the game with a 11-6 record after their 58-53 non-league loss to Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA).

With the defeat, Armstrong moves to 2-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA) to face the Raiders in a Capital game on Tuesday, January 17. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 4-9. Atlee lost 46-35 in their recent league game against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA)
