In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Clovis Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 44-37 triumph over the Organ Mountain Knights.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 14. Clovis will attempt to move on its 13-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 9-7 record after their 59-38 non-league win over Texico (Texico, NM).

With the defeat, Organ Mountain moves to 10-5 on the year. The Knights host Gadsden (Anthony, NM) to meet the Panthers in a 5A District 3 match on Monday, January 16.
