Kentucky High School Basketball - Harlan County overwhelms Middlesboro
January 13, 2023: Middlesboro, KY 40965 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) and the host Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY), saw Harlan County's basketball squad wallop Middlesboro by a tally of 66-40.
With the victory, Harlan County improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Black Bears travel to Bell County (Pineville, KY) to confront the Bobcats in a District 52 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-2.
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Pineville Mountain Lions (Pineville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Middlesboro will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 69-43 league win over Barbourville (Barbourville, KY).
