Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL), 48-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Eagles host Leyden (Franklin Park, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Leyden won 51-49 in their recent league bout against Hinsdale South (Darien, IL)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver bout, on Saturday, January 14. Oak Park-River Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 48-26 non-league win over St. Francis (Wheaton, IL).
