January 13, 2023: New Orleans, LA 70126 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Southern Lab Kittens (Baton Rouge, LA) and the host St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA), saw Southern Lab's basketball squad wallop St. Mary's Academy by a tally of 63-20.
With the victory, Southern Lab improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Kittens host Kentwood (Kentwood, LA) to confront the Kangaroos in a 1A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Kangaroos come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Kentwood lost 40-36 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Cox Cougars (Harvey, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. St. Mary's Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 42-30 non-league loss to Grace King (Metairie, LA).
