January 13, 2023: Williamsburg, KY 40769 In Friday's non-league outing, the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY), by a margin of 60-47.
The Colonels (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Redhounds go into the District 50 outing with a 7-4 record. In their last outing, Corbin defeated Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY), 62-37, in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Marion County for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 14. Wayne County will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 63-45 non-league loss to Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Knights record now stands at 4-7.
