New Mexico High School Basketball - Hobbs tops Los Lunas
January 13, 2023: Los Lunas, NM 87031 Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 57-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hobbs upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Cleveland won 64-58 in their recent non-league bout against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Tigers play the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Los Lunas will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Monarchs come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 74-71 non-league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
