January 13, 2024: Farmerville, LA 71241 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Arcadia Hornets (Arcadia, LA) and the host Union Parish Farmers (Farmerville, LA), saw Arcadia's basketball squad overcome Union Parish by a tally of 60-47.
With the victory, Arcadia improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Plain Dealing (Plain Dealing, LA) to confront the Lions in a 1A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Plain Dealing won 40-37 in their recent league challenge against Magnolia School of Excellence (Shreveport, LA)
Next up, the Farmers confront the North Webster Knights (Springhill, LA) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Union Parish will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 68-23 league loss to Richwood (Monroe, LA).
