California High School Basketball - Mission Bay tops Bonita Vista
January 13, 2024: Chula Vista, CA 91913 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mission Bay Buccaneers (San Diego, CA) and the host Bonita Vista Barons (Chula Vista, CA), saw Mission Bay's basketball squad knock off Bonita Vista by a count of 56-38.
With the victory, Mission Bay upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host St. Augustine (San Diego, CA) to play the Saints in a Western challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 17-3. St. Augustine won 70-50 in their recent league challenge against Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA)
Next up, the Barons play the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) in a Mesa challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. Bonita Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 62-40 league win over San Ysidro (San Diego, CA).
