In Saturday's non-league outing, the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), by a count of 67-54.

The Bulldogs (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 5-10 record. In their last outing, Sun Valley was topped by Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 77-65, in a non-league outing.

The Huskies now hold a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Stuart W. Cramer for a 3A Big South outing on Tuesday, January 16. Huss will clash with a Storm squad coming off a 82-51 league loss to Crest (Shelby, NC). The Storm record now stands at 5-9.
