Alaska High School Basketball - Delta can't hold off Seward
January 13, 2024: Delta Junction, AK 99737 The Seward Seahawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Delta Huskies to 50 in the Seahawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Seahawks now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nikiski for a 3A Peninsula contest on Tuesday, January 16. Seward will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-36 non-league loss to Bethel (Bethel, AK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
The Huskies (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hutchison (Fairbanks, AK). The Hawks enter the 3A Aurora contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Hutchison was nudged by Valdez (Valdez, AK), 53-20, in a non-league contest.
