January 13, 2024: Dumfries, VA 22026 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Evergreen Christian Eagles (Leesburg, VA) and the host Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA), saw Evergreen Christian's basketball squad overcome Saint John Paul the Great Catholic by a tally of 84-71.
With the victory, Evergreen Christian improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Springdale Prep (New Windsor, MD) to confront the Lions in a Metro Private challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Springdale Prep lost 83-55 in their recent league challenge against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD)
Next up, the Wolves confront the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings (Buckeystown, MD) in a MIAA B - Red challenge, on Monday, January 15. Saint John Paul the Great Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 58-42 non-league win over Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD).
