January 13, 2024: Dola, OH 45835 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) and the host Hardin Northern Polar Bears (Dola, OH), saw Van Buren's basketball squad hold off Hardin Northern by a tally of 48-44.
With the victory, Van Buren improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Black Knights host Arcadia (Arcadia, OH) to confront the Redskins in a Blanchard Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Redskins come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Arcadia lost 52-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Seneca East (Attica, OH)
Next up, the Polar Bears confront the Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH) in a Northwest Central challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. Hardin Northern will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 69-57 non-league loss to Bucyrus (Bucyrus, OH).
