North Carolina High School Basketball - Hickory nudges Wesleyan Christian Academy
January 13, 2024: High Point, NC 27262 Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans (High Point, NC), 51-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a 3A Western Foothills bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-9. West Iredell lost 77-53 in their recent league bout against Foard (Newton, NC)
Next up, the Trojans clash with the Grace Christian Crusaders (Sanford, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Wesleyan Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 68-61 non-league win over Berean Baptist Academy (Fayetteville, NC).
