January 13, 2024: Rockford, IL 61107 The Rockford Christian Royal Lions (Rockford, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Johnsburg Skyhawks (Johnsburg, IL), 66-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Royal Lions (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Scales Mound (Scales Mound, IL). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, Scales Mound notched a victory over Rochelle (Rochelle, IL), 73-51, in a non-league test.
The Skyhawks now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Woodstock for a Kishwaukee River test on Wednesday, January 17. Johnsburg will encounter a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 42-39 league win over Plano (Plano, IL). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 12-6.
