New York High School Basketball - Dalton edges St. John's Prep
January 13, 2024: New York, NY 10128 The Dalton Tigers (New York, NY) basketball nipped the visiting St. John's Prep Red Storm (Astoria, NY), 41-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (12-0) will now prepare for their test against Hackley (Tarrytown, NY). The Hornets go into the Ivy Prep test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Hackley got by Holy Child (Rye, NY), 66-52, in a non-league test.
The Red Storm now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Christ the King for a Catholic - Brooklyn/Queens I test on Friday, January 19. St. John's Prep will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 63-57 league loss to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Royals record now stands at 4-2.
