New Jersey High School Basketball - Hillside nudges Science Park
January 13, 2024: Hillside, NJ 07205 Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Science Park Chargers (Newark, NJ), 54-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hillside upgrades its record to 2-8 on the season. The Comets host Johnson (Clark, NJ) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Johnson lost 40-38 in their recent non-league bout against Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ)
Next up, the Chargers clash with the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Science Park will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 52-24 non-league loss to Payne Tech (Newark, NJ).
