January 13, 2024: New Providence, NJ 07924 The New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), 55-45 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pioneers (11-2) will now prepare for their test against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, West Orange notched a victory over Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ), 57-50, in a non-league test.
The Soaring Eagles now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to East New York Family Academy for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Union City will encounter a squad coming off a 77-40 non-league win over Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 12-3.
