The Ridge View Blazers basketball team (Columbia, SC), was toppled 51-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Wren Hurricanes (Piedmont, SC)

The Hurricanes now possess a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Powdersville for a AAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Wren will confront a Patriots team coming off a 53-24 league win over Southside (Greenville, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 7-9.

The Blazers (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Westwood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks come into the AAAA Region 5 battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Westwood beat Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC), 50-44, in a non-league battle.
